Both are copper, yet the price difference is three times. What exactly is the difference?

Last week, a customer questioned me: "Why are your tin bronze rods so much more expensive than pure copper?"

My answer was direct: **"You're not just buying copper; you're buying lifespan and stability."**

Often, customers only see the price difference per unit, but ignore the "total lifecycle cost."

Performance Difference: Tin bronze is 4-5 times stronger than pure copper and has an extremely high elastic recovery rate. Under repeated bending and high-frequency vibration, it exhibits far superior fatigue resistance compared to pure copper.

Lifespan Cost: For the same part, if the wrong material is chosen, pure copper might fail and require rework in less than three months; while using tin bronze can achieve stable service for more than three years. The labor costs and downtime losses from rework are often more than 10 times the price difference of the materials themselves.

How to Choose the Right Material Scientifically and Avoid the "Low-Price Trap"?

Choose pure copper because you need: Excellent electrical conductivity (high current transmission, busbars) High heat dissipation efficiency (heat sinks, electrical contacts)
